A garden dibber for seed, bulb, and seedling planting. We tested our dibber in our Northeast Pennsylvania clay and rocky soil, and it performed beautifully.

After several iterations hand carving dibbers with ergonomic angles that ended up not being very easy to use, I moved to my mid-sized lathe to turn an old-fashioned straight dibber. I took some maple spindles I had lying around, cut them to size, and started turning free hand. The pointed end was the easy part. It was the handle that took a few tries. On my fifth attempt, I was not so much determined as I was stubborn, and with four dibbers of experience under my belt on the fifth try it just looked right. At least I love the way it looks. Hope you do as well.
Two standard finish options are either tung oil or unfinished. Custom finishes upon request.
